Summary: Porto Shopify theme is one of the top-selling themes on the marketplace where it is available, and it has a high rating from users, and comes with a lot of sales-boosting features and customizability options.

The price is good, but the issue is that you need to keep paying in order to get new updates and continuous support, unlike some of the alternatives you will find later in this Porto Shopify Theme review.

On of the coolest feature of the Porto Shopify theme is that you can use it to add a dark mode for your store, which could fit some niches and audiences better than the white color or light mode, such as the gaming niche, the Gothic niche, some sports niches, …etc.

Related Product By Tags & Collections

You can set your product pages to show related items to the product someone is browsing, so that you give them more options to add to their cart and increase the average order value.

And the nice thing about Porto theme is that it allows you to do this on your Shopify store by giving it the instruction to show related items based on the same category, or the same tags, that are assigned to the product itself.

Best-Sellers Suggestions

Similar to the previous feature above, but this one shows the top-selling products of your store, regardless of their categories or tags, to the product page someone is browsing, which helps increase your sales with proven products.

Product Page Tabs

These are tabs that you can add to the product page in order to arrange the information in a way that makes it easy to consume, and quick to find the exact detail the shopper is looking for, which makes the store’s visitors life much easier, and helps them in making a decision.

Advanced Filter Collection

This feature allows you to show many filters at the left sidebar so that your customer can use them to sort out the products that match all their wanted requirements, such as product size, color, material, brand, …etc.

This helps in finding products faster than going through every product page to read its description.

Ajax Add to Cart

This Porto theme feature shows the cart with everything in it in a small pop-up that appears when someone clicks the cart icon on the top bar on your Shopify store.

They can edit it, proceed to the checkout page from there, or go back to continue shopping without having to go to the actual cart page.

Ajax Wishlist

By hovering over a product cart, the shopper can click the “quick view” button in order to open a pop-up with the details of that product, without visiting its page, and the ATC button allows theme to directly add it to their cart.

Multiple Currencies & Languages

These two features from Porto help in increasing the trust and familiarity on your store, as many online shoppers are more comfortable when they browse online store in their own language, and when they see the prices in the currency they are used to paying with.

Horizontal & Vertical Mega Menu Options

The mega menu is a menu that shows all the collections and sub-collections in one view, instead of having the shopper to go through each tab on the top menu in order to find what they want.

This makes the overall experience much more comfortable and makes it faster to find the products they are looking for, instead of going to Amazon where it is easy to find anything.

Ajax Search

This Porto search feature auto suggests products as someone is still typing in the search bar on your Shopify store, and it shows the products’ images at the same time, which helps in finding what the customer is looking for much faster so that they can add them to their cart and go to checkout.

This is a trending feature that started to appear in many other themes recently like the Ella Shopify theme, Wokiee theme, and others.

Shipping Calculator

This calculator on the cart page allows the customer to find out how much it would cost to ship what is in their cart to their location, and they can edit their cart accordingly, instead of getting surprised when they see the total cost on the checkout page and leave without completing the order.
