Debtify

  • Developer: Debutify (Ricky Hayes)
  • Price: Four plans: $0/month, $9.5/month, $23.5/month, $48.5/month
  • Updates: You need to keep paying
  • Built-in Styles: Yes
  • Features: A lot

Debutify is a premium Shopify themes that comes with a big number of features that can be used to boost sales, do better branding, and increase engagement and traffic to your Shopify store.

And these include the feature of adding an Instagram feed to your Shopify store with Debutify theme.

By doing so, the shopper can hover over the IG photos that are embedded on your Shopify store, and the Instagram app logo will appear.

Debutify Instagram Feed on Shopify

If the shopper clicks on any of these images, it will redirect him to the actual image on your Instagram profile.

It is a well-developed theme, and it has a high rating on Trustpilot from thousands of its users, which ensures the high quality, reliability and great support.

And it has a free plan that gives some of the basic features.

The downfall though is that the Instagram feed feature for this Shopify theme is only available with the paid plans.

And these plans require you to pay on monthly basis in order to keep using the premium features, and to keep getting the updates.

This means that if you decide to stop paying, you wouldn’t be able to use any of these features on your Shopify store, including the Instagram feed feature.

This is different from other themes below, for which you pay once, and you keep using them with all of their features as long as you want, but you need to pay to them regularly in order to get the new updates, and not to keep the features.

Overall, Debutify is a quality Shopify theme that allows you to add the Instagram feed to your store, and it is a well-supported one.

If you are an advanced merchant and you have a good budget to invest in this theme, then you can read my review of Debutify theme to learn more about it.

If you can’t invest in it, then look at the following themes, or go to the alternative section below in order to find out how to add Instagram feed to any Shopify theme.

Wokiee Theme

  • Developer: P-Themes
  • Price: $99 For the theme with 6 months of support, and then you have to pay in order to extend the support.
  • Updates: As long as you pay for the support.
  • Built-in Styles: Yes
  • Features: A lot

Wokiee is a great Shopify theme that was developed by a third-party that comes with a lot of features that include the Instagram feed feature.

Shopify Wokiee Theme Instagram Feed

The theme is sold on the ThemeForest marketplace, and it is one of the best-sellers and one of the highest rated ones.

Wokiee also comes with some built-in styles that can be used in certain niches as a start to help you save time when starting out.

The theme is paid and you pay once to keep using it with all the features, unlike the previous theme above that needs a monthly payment to keep using its features.

However, if you need to keep getting updates and support, then after the first six months of buying it, you need to renew the support by paying regularly.

But overall, it costs much less than the previous theme, and it will give you the Instagram feed feature.

You can learn more about Wokiee in my Wokiee theme review.

Shella Theme

  • Developer: MPIThemes
  • Price: $79 For the theme with 6 months of support, and then you have to pay in order to extend the support.
  • Updates: As long as you pay for the support.
  • Built-in Styles: Yes
  • Features: A lot

Shella is another great Shopify theme that offers the Instagram feed feature among many other features.

The nice thing about Shella’s Instagram feed feature, compared to the previous two themes, is that when the shopper hovers over a certain IG photo on your Shopify store, the number of likes and comments on the original IG post will appear, which helps more in increasing trust.

Shella InstagramG Feed for Shopify

Shella is also sold on the ThemeForest marketplace as a third-party developed theme, and you can pay once to get it and you keep using it with all of its features without having to pay again.

However, like it is with Wokiee, Shella comes with six months of free support and updates.

After that, you can keep using the unsupported version you have, or you extend the support by paying regularly in order to get the new updates.

Another nice thing about Shell theme other than the Instagram feed feature is that you get many built-in styles for Shopify stores in different industries and niches, which also helps in saving time when starting out.

Check out my Shopify Shella theme review to learn more about it.

Ella Shopify Theme

  • Developer: HaloThemes
  • Price: $89 For the theme with 6 months of free support, then you have to pay if you want to extend the support.
  • Updates: As long as you pay for the support.
  • Built-in Styles: Yes
  • Features: A lot

Ella is also one of the best-selling Shopify themes on ThemeForest that offer the Instagram feed feature, along with many other useful features.

It also comes with a lot of built-in templates and skins that can help you get started faster.

The downfall is that when I explored the IG feed feature on Ella’s demo stores, when I click on any of the IG photos that were embedded, nothing happened other than showing the image in a pop-up on the store, without leading me to the IG account.

Shopify Theme Ella IG Feed

It might be a temporary bug, or maybe the IG feed feature stopped working on Ella and they didn’t update the demo.

And like it is with Wokiee and Shella above, you need to keep paying on regular basis in order to get the support and the new updates of the theme as you only get them for free for the first six months of buying Ella.

Check out my Ella theme review to learn more about it.

Gecko 5.0 Theme

  • Developer: The4
  • Price: $99 For the theme with 6 months of free support, and then you pay to extend the support.
  • Updates: As long as you pay for the support.
  • Built-in Styles: Yes
  • Features: A lot

Gecko 5.0 theme is another highly-rated best-selling Shopify theme that comes with the Instagram feed feature as one of many features that can help your Shopify store.

Gecko also has many skins that are designed to fit stores in different niches and save you time.

The issue with Gecko’s Instagram feed feature is that like it is with Ella theme above, when I explored the demo Shopify stores with Gecko theme to examine the IG feed feature, I clicked on one of the images, and it redirected me to a different page on the demo store, instead of directing me to a real IG account.

Gecko Shopify Theme Instagram Feed

Not sure if this is a bug, or if they didn’t take the time to create a real Instagram account to connect it to the demo store.

Another thing is that like the previous themes that are listed on ThemeForest marketplace, Gecko comes with only six months of support and updates, then you have to extend by paying regularly, or you can keep using the same version you purchased with updates and support.

How to Pick The Right Shopify Theme with Instagram Feed?

Choosing the right Shopify theme that offers the Instagram feed feature from the above list depends on many factors, such as:

  • Your budget.
  • The level of support and quality you want.
  • The number of features other than the Instagram feed that you want in the theme.
  • The availability of built-in styles and skins to help you get started.

Debutify is the best Shopify theme with Instagram feed overall as it has a very high rating from thousands of users, and it offers lots of other useful features that can help in increasing sales on your Shopify store.

This is in addition to the IG feed feature that can help you increase engagement and get free traffic to your Shopify store later.

But it might be a bit expensive as a start, because you need to pay on monthly basis.

Other themes require one payment, and you keep using them, but you need to pay every six months in order to get the new updates, or keep using the outdated version.

This actually makes the $9.5/month Debutify plan close in pricing to other themes in this list, if you want to keep paying for their support and updates.

However, if you see that these five themes are expensive, or if you already have a theme that you like, and you don’t want to switch to any of the above suggested themes just for the sake of adding the Instagram feed feature, then the following section is for you.

A Free Alternative to Add Instagram Feed to Any Shopify Theme

If you don’t want to buy any of the paid Shopify themes mentioned above in order to get the Instagram feed feature, or if you want a different theme like my #1 Shopify theme, Flex by Out of the Sandbox, and you still need to use the IG feed feature, then here’s the solution.

You can add the Instagram feed feature to almost any Shopify theme using an independent Shopify app.

On the Shopify App Store, you can search for “Instagram Feed”, and you will find many apps that offer this feature, and many of them offer a free plan to get started with.

Shopify Instagram Feed Theme Alternative

Three of the best Shopify apps for adding Instagram feed to any Shopify theme are:

  • Instafeed by Mintt Studio.
  • Instagram Feed + Stories by eShopCRM.
  • Shop Instagram Feed & UGC by Growave.

This can be a good way to add Instagram feed to your Shopify store without having to buy any of the paid theme mentioned in the above list and rebuild your store, and you can even use them on Shopify stores and add the Instagram feed feature with free themes.

There you go!

I offered you a list of the top 5 Shopify themes with the Instagram feed feature, showed you the criteria on how to choose the right one for your store, and even offered you a way to add Instagram feed to your Shopify store with any free or paid theme without having to buy any of the above mentioned themes.
